Units should plan to arrive at camp beginning at 1 p.m.
and no later than 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Any units arriving later or on Monday need to contact the camp office
the week before coming to camp. If troops need to arrive on Saturday, they need to make arrangements with the camp director at least two weeks before coming to camp.
The camp is closed between 10 a.m. on Saturday
and 1 p.m. on Sunday and there will be no one available to handle early arrivals,
food will not be provided, and you will need to fi nd your campsite on your own.
The leader will be assigned a time to go to the program office when the troops arrive at
camp on Sunday. At this time the unit leader should have a final count of Scouts and
leaders, merit badge schedules for the Scouts, a copy of your troop tour permit, and any unpaid fees with the Final Financial Form.
The unit leader should send all the scout physicals, medications with filled out medication forms, as well as the swim check form with another leader who goes
with the scouts on their camp tour.
A troop guide will be assigned to the unit through the check-in process. The guide and a
unit leader will take the troop on a tour of camp and to the Health Check area. The leader
will need to have the medical forms, medications, and medication forms for each scout. The re-check is to make sure no significant changes have occurred since
the physical examination was given. This is a required BSA Standard. The health check will
be occurring at the same time as registration, so it is encouraged to have all scouts and
leaders arrive in camp at the same time.
At medical recheck, all medications and medication info will need to be turned in for each
scout. Parents of Scouts on medication should fill out the routine drug administration
record, which will accommodate up to six medications on one page. This form is included in
the registration packet and should be copied and initialized for each Scout on medication.
The forms will be turned in with the medications at the medical recheck.
Swim checks will be given after med checks are completed. Scouts and leaders that did not
complete their swim checks prior to camp will need to bring a swimsuit and towel with them
on the tour. All persons who will use the swimming area, boating area, falls, or the blob
must have a swim check and a physical form on file during their time at camp. NO
